Henderson Chevrolet Mechanics

Pictured are employees of the old Henderson Chevrolet dealership service department in Baldwyn. Front center and right are Alfred Smith and Turner Christian.

Pete West is right rear. Can any one help with the names of the other three?

Pete was renowned to have the power to remove warts from skin. He did one for me, I recall he told me to look into his eyes and he rubbed the wart with both of  his hands. I can truthfully say it was gone in a couple of days or less.

Henderson Chevrolet was located on US145S, The City Cafe is located in that building now.

It should be noted that the original Henderson Chevrolet was located across the street from Tommy Shellnuts home. The old Henderson building was replaced by Dr Fords clinic and Scrams Cafe.

I remember the viewing the "new" 1949 Chevrolet there. Those were the days.

    1. Good point, JM. C.G. bought the company in 1947 and moved to the highway location sometime later. I remember a fire there at one time, but have no idea when. The place was cleared and Dr. Ford built there around 1954, we think. Good to hear from you.

Coud the man at top rear be a Blassingame? Who might have been service mgr.?

  3. I just bought a 67 Chevy Impala to restore. I have her original bill of sale and it came from this dealership!
