Mayor, city clerk, marshall...were the rest aldermen?
ReplyDeleteThat's what I would assume. I'll ask John Olan or Jimmy unless Gloria sees this and comments.
DeleteMust be: 5 aldermen, city clerk, marshall and mayor.
DeleteI remember Bernard taught school before he was mayor of Baldwyn. Was it just for one year? Man, I loved those war stories!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know when he was telling the truth or not, but he kept our class in stitches and intrigue with those old tales.
DeleteThe war tales got us out of a lot of tests. All we had to do was ask a question about the war, and no more worries about the lesson.
DeleteI remember Bernard keeping the study hall and when he was there you listened to his stories the entire period. I wonder if any of these were ever written down? Be interesting reading. Also heard a lot of these during baseball practice and trips.
