Some young Basketball Players

This undated photo shows a coach and some young players, many of whom we know. I believe this may be at Wheeler, but I may be badly wrong.

I see Tommy Carpenter, Doug Waters, Larry Roberts, Hulon Cox (55), possibly James and Judy Bryant's older brother Tommy (66)??, and others I recognize but cannot name. Any help?

    Number 66 looks like Jack Nanney. If so that would place this photo sometime around 1952 give or take a year.

    I believe this is Southwest Prentiss school instead of Wheeler.

      You are correct... I have some information I found just today that verifies that. This is 1954. Would still hope someone can come up with the needed names.

      Maybe Gerald Carpenter beside the coach??? I don't think that is Tommy Bryant as they never lived at Geeville, but it looks like Tommy.

    According to Tupelo Journal, Tommy Carpenter passed away yesterday.

    I asked Doug Waters about the identity and he said that #66 is Humayse Hill from Guntown, #22 IS Maxey Ramsey, #33 is Charles Oswalt' The principal and coach is Mr. Gene Waters. He is still trying to recall the other names. Thanks, Doug.
