>WOW< EVERYBODY LOOKING GOOD!
ReplyDeleteReally good pictures. Thanks for adding the names for us. I would not have recognized some (actually most) of the people since I have not been to Baldwyn in years.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that is Irene Cheatam! Are you sure?
ReplyDeleteIs Cynthia Lindley Mink any relation to Mary Catherine Garner (or Garrett)?
ReplyDeleteI am trying to remember her.
I will do my best to be there in 2010 IF YOU STILL HAVE A GET TOGETHER! hAVE BEEN WANTING TO GET BACK THERE FOR YEARS.
ReplyDeletetHANKS FOR THE pICTU
Cynthia is Mary Catherine's sister. Mary Catherine passed away several years ago.
ReplyDeleteAccording to my 1956 yearbook, it is Irene Cheatham. She was a freshman.
ReplyDeleteV.T.
Who are people in the picture at the top of the page?
ReplyDeleteIf you are referring to the Blog header photo in the poolroom, on the left is Henry Outlaw, and the other is John Olan Cunningham. On the outside is Charles Fray Cooper. The guy sitting in the window and others are unidentified.
ReplyDeleteThat is Henry Outlaw and his wife Brenda in the top photo....
ReplyDeleteCarl,
ReplyDeleteReferring to the picture in the poolroom, I knew we were sorry but I didn't realize we looked so sorry.
Henry
Henry, we didn't ever consider ourselves sorry I don't think. We thought we were "cool" however. We may look like the photo shows Monday through Saturday, but we cleaned up pretty good for church on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThe poolroom was a really popular place to meet anytime. Remember it was a place to stop and warm up on a cold chilly wintry day while walking to school.
Carl,
ReplyDeleteYes, We would walk to school and on cold winter days we would stop in the pool room to warm up. There was always a roaring fire.
I think hanging out at Palmer's pool room was the best Social Science Course I ever took!
Henry
