Some recently submitted photos of BHS kids on the north side of the school near the old gymnasium.
If you want to verify or guess identity, do so. There are some easy ones and some a bit more difficult.
Related photos will be posted later in the week with answers to these photo IDs.

ReplyDeleteThanks for that great photo Carolyn.
right on ladies MC-u always were a ladies man!! on the guys--how about Doug White-Harold Grissom-Charles Weatherford-"dont know"--Bonnie Ray Whitehead???--& Wyatt Weatherford
ReplyDeleteRight on the guys anon. I realize we can't see enough of the hidden fellow for a positive ID, but from the hair I would say it was Bobby Wallis.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of that old gymnasium holds a lot of memories for me. Remember when there was a cold weather game and we would get there very early in order to get near one of the 4 gas heaters in each corner. If we had to go after any drink or food, we might lose our warm seat.
ReplyDeleteOne heater per corner, that is.
ReplyDeleteEdgar Lee Carroll sitting on the far right????
ReplyDeleteDitto the memories. I'm sure many of you remember when that concession area up front was class rooms. My first day of school in Baldwyn was in that building.
ReplyDeleteBilly Massengill on far right. Joe Murray behind Charles.
ReplyDeleteMost of you nailed it except for the "hidden" guy. Here is what Carolyn sent that she copied off the back of the photo:
ReplyDeleteDOUG WHITE
HAROLD D GRISSOM
CHARLES WEATHERFORD
DAVID BLANKFIELD
BONNIE WHITEHEAD
WYATT WEATHERFORD
BILL MASSENGILL "OFF TO SIDE"
Wow, what some foxes! Another testimoney to the pretty girls we had at B-H-S back then.
ReplyDeleteI have very few pictures but I was so pleased to find these photos. That was a fun time of my life. In 12 years I attended 6 different schools but Baldwan did stand out as a very nice place to live. The teachers were great as well as friends.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn-i have to say--even though you were here for only a short period of time-the class of 1960 always considered you an intergral of us & were so glad to have you with us--you are a full fledged member!!! we all loved you/ha
ReplyDeleteHOW NICE. MADE MY DAY CAROLYN
