The girl between Lind and Nancy is Joyce Wilson, my first cousin. Her mother was Hazel Cooper Ward, my fathers sister.
ReplyDeleteArch Young, Jimmy Green and ??? Carl Houston ???
ReplyDeleteA correction to my earlier comment. Joyce's mother was Hazel Cooper Wilson. Her husband was Ward Wilson
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the pictures. Could be yesterday? Seeing Linda McCarthy, do any of you know Nancy McCarthy's phone # or email? I get to Jackson often and would like to contact her.
ReplyDeleteLinda McCarthy appears to be flossing but flossing wasn't invented at that time??
ReplyDeleteCarl, you and I seem to have the same hairstyle (bottom two photos), however, my hair was in a ponytail. :)
ReplyDeleteJohnson & Johnson received the first dental floss patent in 1898.
ReplyDeleteI would say Linda is eatig, not flossing
ReplyDeleteBeen around since 1898, hey? Well, it took a long time to get to Baldwyn. Don't remember seeing it there at all in the 50's... as for me, I used my Boy Scout pocket knife to clean between my teeth.

Cynthia, I have wondered about the way my hair looked in that photo. I always had it cut every two weeks (rather short) and until the Elvis hairstyles with the longer, fuller look happened, it was never that long on top.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can think of is a camera malfunction ;-)
